M3GAN

This movie is a perfect representation of what I would expect from a horror movie in 2023. From the Ipad kid epidemic to the major toy company commercial, it was very indicative of where the world is going and I enjoy it. I love the initial opening of this movie and seeing why M3GAN was not only created but finished.

They had plenty of funny moments and just as many jump scares. The different themes they establish early on in this movie were heavy but locked me into the plot.

The biggest question I had going into this movie was how will the public react to M3GAN being a life-sized AI toy. To me what makes this movie scary was the anticipation because M3GAN was creepy in general.

The main reason being is that you never know if M3GAN was actually turned off. Then you combine that with the mannerisms and the gag horror moments it was a really fun watch after I was done being scared every couple of minutes.

This movie was paced well because the plot was never in question and we got to slowly see the signs of M3GAN going crazy. Now don't get me wrong this movie was perfect the musical numbers were corny and not as many people got bodied as I expected.

What frustrated me was for a story discussing grief and trauma in young kids to never get closure because the movie ended so abruptly it leaves us room for a sequel which I’m happy about. My only request for M3GAN 2 is that we get to see M3GAN rebuild itself like Ultron.
