Creed III

Boxing as a sport is already poetic, especially when you slow it down. Then you add the journey that Adonis Creed goes through not only in this movie but in the trilogy as a whole was an elite experience, especially in theaters. One thing that made this movie different from the rest was that it was not only going to be Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut but also that Sylvester Stallone was not going to be featured in the movie as Rocky. On top of that, you add the likes of Jonathan Majors who is set to be the next big bad of the MCU. This movie didn’t disappoint either it was incredible from the fights that included different anime references to the different storylines that have been building up to a climatic finale.

They built this movie from the ground up and didn't leave anything to chance. From start to finish the plot of this movie was never really in question but what mattered was how we got there. I think Donnie, Dame, and Bianca's story arcs were the most interesting because they covered different mentalities that one could go through in pursuit of following their dreams from redemption to survivor’s guilt, to even finding peace in letting go.

Overall I think this movie was amazing but not necessarily the best Creed movie. The cameos were great, especially during the training arc and seeing other fighters from previous creeds. I love the different analogies that were brought to life in the movie because at times it felt like I was watching an anime. This movie by itself is already great but the Creed franchise as a whole is something I will continue to watch and enjoy because of the messaging and meaning behind each fight and each moment. Now the only question is where do we go from here?
