You have to see these…

The Bear S2
This is the first time in a long time a series made me stop watching because it was so good. The Bear season 2 was an emotional rollercoaster. Especially after finishing season 1 on such a high. You spend so much time hoping they catch a break. So when they found Mikey’s secret sauce I was super hype like I worked at The Original Beef.

Star Wars: Ahsoka
The Ahsoka series is good but, they should have called it Star Wars Rebel’s Season 5. Don’t get me wrong this series is my most anticipated Star Wars project of 2023. But I wasn’t expecting to focus so much on characters from a different series. You should know upfront that Ahsoka is one of my top five characters in Star Wars. With that being said, expectations were super high going into this series.

The Creator
The Creator is a movie set in the future during a war between humans and artificial intelligence. We follow Joshua an ex-undercover operative and Alphie the first simulant child. Simulantes are basically sentient AI robots built to elevate human lives.

Baki Hanma Season 2
Baki Hanma is the perfect shonen and here's why. It’s the level of detail they give to ordinary things via the main characters and narrator. The way they break down the human body is second to none. It also gives me that classic anime feel that is very nostalgic. Plus it works well with the simplicity of this anime itself.

One Piece
Live-action anime has always been a slippery slope. It wasn't because it was something nobody wanted but because it was never done well for a long time. This show has broken that streak. It’s scary accurate to the original series, from the outfits to the plot points.

TMNT Mutant Mayhem
The TMNT Mutant Mayhem movie is one of the purest takes on the four brothers in the past fifteen years. I enjoyed this take on a younger and light-hearted version of the Turtles. One thing that stuck out immediately was the music choice for this movie. This movie felt very “New York” in the best ways.

Fast X
This movie is supposed to be the pinnacle of the Fast & Furious franchise with it being the tenth movie and they did not disappoint. The main question I had going into this movie was how much will this movie be anything different from the previous nine. They drove in space in the last one so what could they possibly have left in the tank?

The Flash
Unfortunately, The Flash is a good movie that was doomed to fail from the start because of the “they who shall not be named” actions off of the big screen.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse
This movie was my most anticipated movie of the year so I had super high expectations going into theaters. The only thing I was worried about was with this being a sequel but also being a part one type of experience will it water down the novelty of it being a sequel while watching the film? They did not disappoint because Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is peak fiction.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
This is the most serious-toned movie out of the three Guardians movies 100%. It’s full of not only emotions but also laughs.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie
This movie was nostalgia overload in all the best ways and was able to bring the Mario universe to life on screen. What made this movie even more impressive was how they were able to seamlessly fit almost 40 years of lore into an hour-and-a-half movie.

John Wick: Chapter 4
This movie was insane from start to finish. The big talking point surrounding this movie was how’s this movie going to be any different from the first three.

Creed III
Boxing as a sport is already poetic, especially when you slow it down. Then you add the journey that Adonis Creed goes through not only in this movie but in the trilogy as a whole was an elite experience, especially in theaters.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
The main issue during this movie was that we needed more conflict between the protagonist and they relied too heavily on the antagonist played by Jonathan Majors and it sometimes fell flat. My favorite part about this movie was how fluently we are talking about space, time, and the multiverse.

M3GAN
This movie is a perfect representation of what I would expect from a horror movie in 2023. From the Ipad kid epidemic to the major toy company commercial, it was very indicative of where the world is going and I enjoy it. I love the initial opening of this movie and seeing why M3GAN was not only created but finished.

Succession
This show is corporate culture 101 but on a 1000. The Roys are the worst family in tv history. From the broken family dynamic to getting insight into how the 1 percenters do business this show is 3 seasons of betrayal and I loved it.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
This movie was an emotional seesaw of good and bad things. The highs and the lows of the plot covered loss and the grieving process through different lenses.

Hinomaru Sumo
Sometimes you have to take a step back from what popping and watch something random. That’s exactly what I did and it paid off because Hinomaru Sumo is a super fun anime.

Avatar: The Way of Water
If I could only use one word to describe this movie it would be “Beautiful”. From the world to the story to the characters. The initial opening was moving because we saw that there was a rise and fall opening us up to new experiences. The change in environment felt refreshing and allowed us to experience more variables that made this world feel alive.

Wednesday
I've never been a super fan of the Adams family growing up but I love almost everything about this new show. The story always kept me guessing with every episode even when I got something right. The plot found a way to make me second-guess myself and I loved every moment of it.
